At the shore...

We went for a photo shooting and ended up shellfishing

These pictures are very meaningful either for my sister Andrea ( the aficionado star model for this blog) either for me. They belong to those days we spent together last Christmas and you can see that we really enjoy.

When I was a kid I used to go down to San Pedro shore for a quick dip when my parents didn't have time to drive me to the beach and we used to go back home with a small aperitivo. My sister Andrea does not fancy the idea of a sunbath and a dip among pinnacles, but her favorite meals are based on seafood and she can tell about several times she went fishing urchins, sea snails or limpets.

Of course, in real circumstances nobody goes shellfishing with such outfit because we all know the damage caused by saltpeter on fabrics and footwear. My dad counts several pair of Rivera styled espadrilles which have ended up in the garbage.

The issue is to find that point of surrealism and... why trick ourselves, the green Hunter boots look fantastic in middle of that shore marine ecosystem and maybe they are what are closest to reality, by leave of the wicket basket. I don't remember the original color of this trug and at home they always brought it to the shore. So this day we wanted it to be a handbag a the beginning. But once in situ, Andrea just saw herself surrounded by sea snails and didn't doubt at all about collecting a pair of handfuls that we brought for lunch as aperitivo. Dear coastguard, calm down! We left many many pieces and what we put in our basket was not even enough for a sample.
